What is tallow?
Beef tallow is purified cow fat. It's cleaned by slowly melting and straining the fat. Once clean and cooled, it becomes a solid block. Tallow has been used in skincare for ages and people are bringing it back because:
1) It deeply nourishes the entire body, and
2) It's gentle enough for whole family, even sensitive skin.
We only use suet (the fat around the kidneys) because it's the most nutrient-dense and has a naturally lower scent.
Why It Works
Tallow is rich in vitamins (A, D, E, K) and fatty acids that closely mimics your skin's own natural oils. It's great to moisturize, strengthen and soften the skin. Tallow works best on damp skin as it works by locking in moisture.
