About us Matter of Fat is an Ontario based small batch skincare brand. Our products are sold through matteroffat.ca. Contact us at matteroffatinfo@gmail.com.
Products and orders
Product descriptions: We make every effort to accurately describe our products including ingredients, scents and uses. If you have specific questions about any product please email us before purchasing.
Orders: By placing an order you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete. We reserve the right to cancel orders at our discretion and will provide a full refund if we do so.
Pricing: All prices are in Canadian dollars and are subject to change without notice. We honor the price displayed at the time of your order.
Shipping We ship within Canada only. Shipping times are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers or customs. Free shipping is offered on orders over the threshold displayed at checkout.
Returns and refunds Due to the nature of skincare products we do not accept returns of opened products for hygiene reasons. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect please contact us within 7 days of receiving it at hello@matteroffat.com and we will make it right. We stand behind our products and will always work with you to find a fair solution.
Skincare disclaimer Our products are cosmetics — they are not drugs and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any skin condition or disease. Results vary between individuals. We recommend patch testing all new products before full use. If you experience irritation discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider.
The information on our website including our Learn page, FAQ and ingredient descriptions is provided for educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns.
Intellectual property All content on matteroffat.ca including text, images, graphics and branding is owned by Matter of Fat and may not be reproduced without our written permission.
Limitation of liability To the extent permitted by Ontario law Matter of Fat's liability for any claim arising from the use of our products or website is limited to the purchase price of the product in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
Governing law These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
